Every tool you use that isn't yours is quietly building its own brand every time you send something. Metriv fixes that.
These are the tools most people compare us to. Here's what the feature pages don't tell you.

Metriv starts at $20/month and scales with your usage. The entry tiers on Bitly ($8/mo) and t.ly ($5/mo) exist but are heavily restricted — no custom domains, capped links, limited analytics. By the time you've unlocked what Metriv includes by default, you're paying $40–80/month on those platforms and still don't have bulk import, PDF reports, file storage, or a heatmap.
Every shortener on this list puts their brand somewhere — in your link URL, on their platform, in their emails to your team. Metriv is the only one where your team never sees our name. Your links are on your domain. Your platform is on your domain. Your files are on your domain. That's the actual difference.
For the file storage side of Metriv — compared to the tools most teams are using instead.

Bitly is a solid tool and we're not pretending otherwise. But when you use Bitly, you're renting access to your own analytics. Your click data lives in their platform, accessible at their discretion. You're also putting "bit.ly" on every link you send — which is free advertising for them, not you.
Custom domains on Bitly require a paid plan. Multiple custom domains is an enterprise feature. Bitly's QR codes are tied to links and tracked — not a standalone generator. Data export, geographic analytics, device breakdown — all behind paid tiers. And if you want a heatmap or a PDF report? Not available at any price.
With Metriv, every one of those things is included from day one — and if you email us about something reasonable, you're talking to the person who can actually build it.
t.ly starts at $5/month which sounds compelling. But at that tier: no bulk import, limited analytics, capped links. The same pattern applies to Short.io — reasonable base, but every feature you actually need is behind a higher tier. By the time you're using it properly, you're paying comparable to Metriv anyway, with less.
Neither of them offers a PDF report, a timezone-aware activity heatmap, or file storage on your domain. They're pure link shorteners — which is fine if that's genuinely all you need. Metriv is for teams that need link management and file sharing and don't want to duct-tape multiple tools together.
Rebrandly is the most feature-complete pure shortener on this list. Good analytics, custom domains, campaign grouping, UTM builder. If you only need a link shortener, Rebrandly is worth considering.
But Rebrandly's pricing scales quickly for team features. There's no file storage. No bulk PDF export. No activity heatmap. And most importantly — their platform still carries Rebrandly's branding throughout. Your team logs into a Rebrandly-branded dashboard. With Metriv, none of that is true.
Google Drive is convenient. But every file you share from Drive sends a link that starts with drive.google.com. Your clients open something that looks like Google's product, not yours. There's no expiry on free links, folder access control is clunky, and there's no concept of isolated team workspaces.
Metriv's file module is built specifically for marketing teams — storage tied to workspaces, share links on your domain, and a proper access model instead of Drive's folder-sharing permissions that somehow always end up confusing someone.
WeTransfer does one thing well: sending files to people quickly. But it's not storage — files expire after 7 days on the free plan. There are no workspaces, no team access, no persistent folders. Every file you send has WeTransfer's branding on the page your client opens.
If you're regularly sending proposals, brand kits, or campaign materials to clients, you need persistent storage with proper access control — not a temporary transfer tool. That's what Metriv's file module is built for.
Email us and we'll set up a live demo on your domain — so you can actually see what it looks like before you decide.
